Dooley Rumble is proud to announce that they have been give JAUPT approval to be a Driver CPC Training Centre. Dooley Rumble will be running a number of course’s to provide LGV Drivers with the training required for Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). These courses will start being run in September 2009, after the legislation regarding Driver CPC Training comes into place. These courses will cover all of the areas needed to develop an LGV driver’s awareness and include:
- LGV Driver Essentials
- Economical Driving & Green Strategy
- Safe & Effective Loading, Health & Safety
- ADR (Dangerous Goods)
- Drivers Role in the Distribution Chain
It is now essential that all Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) driver completes Driver CPC Training, what the legislation means to you is that you will have to get yourself a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). In order to gain the Driver CPC, it is a legal requirement for you to go through 35 hours of periodic classroom-based training. If you already held a licence on 10th September 2009, you have until 10th September 2014 to undergo your 35 hours of training. Ultimately, if you do not have a CPC, you will not be entitled to drive.
