Company history
- Dooley Rumble was formed in 1986 by Neil Dooley and Simon
Rumble. The main area of business was freight forwarding.
- In 1988 we continued to develop our services by adding
a warehousing facility.
- In January 1993 we were awarded our first quality certificate
BS 5750 by BVQI.
- In 1993 we further expanded our services by including
airfreight, thus creating a complete range of quality services for
the movement and
handling of all types of cargoes.
- In 1996 we were awarded ISO 9002:1994 by BVQI.
- January 1999: we moved into the purpose built Company Head
Office.
- During 2000 we continued to expand our services by developing
an export packing department.
- As a company committed to quality we were pleased when
in 2001 we were awarded ISO 9001:2000.
- Early 2002: we opened our Northern office in Halifax.
- August 2002: we opened an ERTS warehouse (Enhanced Remote
Transit Shed) and a CHIEF link.
- December 2003: the second warehouse at head office was
fully racked, creating 1500 rack locations in that warehouse alone
and 5000 rack
locations in total.
